Brief
Develop and pitch a piece of speculative art and design work (an intervention) for the public realm in and around Public Transport in South Wales and the Valleys.
You will be working with Transport for Wales on a live brief in small groups to create situated work responding to themes of social inequality and accessibility within Cardiff and the Valleys.
You will be encouraged and guided to use critical speculative methodologies to enable you to create innovative and future-focused ‘interventions’ in the form of ‘work for the public realm’.
REVISED BRIEF:
To create a powerful, immersive public realm experience that raises awareness of the challenges faced by visually impaired individuals when navigating public transport systems in Wales. Our intervention seeks to engage the public through empathy-driven design, encouraging more inclusive thinking about accessibility.
